POSITION BACKGROUND:
TheService Technician is integral to Ketek’s operations and is essential inassuring client retention through the provision of hands-on customer service. TheService Technician's responsibilities include traveling to customers'locations, remotely accessing equipment, and performing routine maintenance.
CORE DUTIES:
Field Service
- Take instruction from Project Manager and/or Service Coordinator to ensure tasks are completed in a safe manner
- Transport Ketek equipment in a safe manner,ensuring all Journey Management requirements are followed
- Comply with all provincial transportationrequirements
- Install, troubleshoot, and demobilize Ketekequipment for the benefit of the client and providing instructions on theproper usage of the item
- Perform routine maintenance on Ketek equipment
- Use, clean, and maintain the different toolsrequired at the worksite
- Perform routine onsite housekeeping duties
- Establish and promote excellent Clientrelationships through clear and accurate communication
Shop Operations
- Receive,understand and execute instructions from Shop Foreman and senior employees
- Cleanequipment and tools
- Disassembleequipment, if needed, to thoroughly clean
- Identifyfaulty/damaged equipment and/or defective materials and inform supervisor ofproblem
- Determine the correct type of tools/equipment to be used for a specific task
- Utilizechecklists, inspections, work procedures and safety guidelines to complete tasks
- Completeassigned tasks in a safe, efficient and timely manner
- Performroutine housekeeping duties in the shop
- Completeall required paperwork on a daily basis, including hazard assessment and DailyJob Control Sheet
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
Required
- Minimum3 years oilfield and/or construction experience
- ValidClass 5 Driver's Licence with clean driver's abstract
- HighSchool diploma or GED
- Ableto demonstrate good hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Familiarand comfortable with various saws, grinders and other hand tools
- Ableto operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner
- Abilityto handle changing schedules and priorities, with high level prioritizationskills
- Strongwork ethic and organizational planning skills with attention to detail
- Abilityto work independently or as part of a team
- Effectiveverbal and listening communication skills

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Physical Demands
- Regularlyrequired to stand/sit, talk/hear, stoop, climb, lift, balance, kneel and use ofhands/fingers to operate tools, machinery and materials
- Moderateto heavy lifting (up to 50lbs) may be required

- Regularexposure to loud noises and metal particulates - hearing and respiratoryprotection is provided when needed
