Position Details

• Employment Type: Full Time, Onsite
• Salary Range: CA$38.00/hr - CA$38.50/hr

About the Role

As an Automotive Service Technician, your main responsibilities include diagnosing, testing, and repairing vehicle systems using specialized tools and diagnostic equipment. You will conduct preventative maintenance, inspect key vehicle components, and repair or replace parts as needed. Additionally, you will mentor apprentices and ensure a safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Perform vehicle repairs and maintenance according to dealership and OEM standards.
2. Communicate effectively with Parts and Service Advisors regarding repairs and customer updates.
3. Conduct multi-point inspections and recommend repairs to ensure safety and reliability.
4. Document all work accurately on repair orders, ensuring compliance with OEM standards.
5. Maintain tools inventory and stay updated with factory technical bulletins and training.
6. Provide excellent customer service to foster loyalty and department revenue.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of various makes and models.
• Provincially recognized Journeyman Automotive Mechanic Certificate (completed or in process).
• Red Seal Certification (asset).
• Post-secondary training or related courses.
• Professional demeanor, strong work ethic, and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
