Job description

Our client provides machines, equipment and supplies for the packaging and container manufacturing industry. They are looking for a Service / Sales Manager to oversee the maintenance, repair, and optimization of specialized equipement for the province of Quebec.

• Manage a team of 4 or 5 service technicians and sales staff, providing guidance, training and performance reviews;
• Act as primary point of contact for customer equipment issues;
• Oversee service contracts and ensure timely resolution of service requests;
• Identify and resolve mechanical, electrical and software issues;
• Organize and carry out preventive maintenance;
• Maintain and calibrate service tools and equipment;
• Handle emergency breakdowns and service calls as needed;
• Execute process improvements and cost reduction measures;
• Manage spare parts inventory;
• Maintain accurate records of service activities, equipment status and maintenance logs;
• Leverage data to predict maintenance needs and budget requirements;
• Paticipate in industry trade shows and conferences as needed;
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.

Requirements :

• Bachelor's in Engineering or pertinent training;
• 5 years of experience in machinery maintenance and service for the food packaging industry;
• 5 years of experience in diagnostic tools, PLC programming, and knowledge in packaging;
• Experience managing a team. Excellent organizational and communication skills;
• Available to occasionally (10%) travel within Quebec / Ontario to provide on-site support to clients;
