Taylor Ryan Executive Search Partners in Burnaby is seeking a Project Manager / Estimator for its electrical service division. You will build client relationships, prepare estimates, manage budgets and coordinate field teams to deliver projects safely, on time and within budget.

Ideal candidates hold electrical certification or related degree, with 2+ years in PM or estimating. Procore, Accubid and MS Office experience is valuable. Base salary $85,000–$110,000 CAD with bonus and benefits.

Qualifications

• Electrical certification or relevant degree required.
• Minimum 2 years in electrical PM, service estimating or both.
• Willing to consider junior PM or foreman making a move.
• Experience preparing estimates and pricing changes.
• Commercial electrical service experience is a plus.
• FSR B certification is an asset.

Responsibilities

Job description

We're working with an established electrical contractor looking to add a Project Manager / Estimator to their service division in Burnaby. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in electrical service projects who enjoys a mix of estimating, project delivery and client relationship management.

You'll be joining a well-established business with a strong reputation across BC, a steady pipeline of work and a focus on long-term employee development.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with clients, consultants, general contractors and suppliers.
• Identify new business opportunities and support the growth of the service division.
• Prepare project estimates, price change orders and submit competitive tenders.
• Review contracts, identify potential risks and ensure suitable terms and conditions.
• Manage project budgets, billing, procurement, scheduling and labour requirements.
• Coordinate with field teams and internal departments to deliver projects safely, on time and within budget.
• Monitor project progress, address deficiencies and manage changes as they arise.
• Attend jobsites when required and conduct project reviews with site leadership upon c85ompletion.

Requirements

• Electrical trade certification, an Electrical Engineering degree or related study
• At least 2 years of experience in electrical project management, service estimating or a combination of both.
• Willing to consider a Junior Project Manager or a Foreman looking to make a career move.
• Experience preparing estimates and pricing project changes.
• Commercial electrical service experience would be an advantage.
• Familiarity with estimating software such as Accubid is beneficial.
• FSR B certification would be considered an asset.
• Strong commercial awareness, attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Confident communication skills and the ability to build lasting working relationships.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management tools such as Procore and Teams.

Compensation

• Base salary of $85,000–$110,000, depending on experience.
