Job summary

Finning Canada seeks a Service Operations Manager to lead the service business at our Saskatoon branch. This is an opportunity to establish operational excellence, build a high-performing team, and position the operation for future growth.

The role is initially a 12-18 month assignment with potential to transition into a permanent leadership position based on performance. You will drive safety, productivity, customer satisfaction, and effective collaboration across service, parts, and sales

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in business, management, engineering, trades, or a related discipline.
  • Significant experience leading service, maintenance, operations, or industrial teams.
  • Demonstrated success managing budgets, workforce planning, and operational performance.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team development capabilities.
  • Experience driving continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to make sound business decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience within heavy equipment, industrial services, construction, mining, transportation, manufacturing, or a related industry is preferred.

  • Partner with sales, parts, and support teams to provide integrated customer solutions.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and implement action plans to improve results.
  • Support workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, and employee development activities.
  • Manage departmental budgets and resource allocation to achieve business objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships while ensuring service commitments are met.
  • Champion employee engagement and create an environment where people can grow and succeed.

What You’ll Do
