Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a Service Manager in Fort Mackay, AB, to lead a major maintenance enterprise. You will hire and motivate a skilled team of service technicians, work closely with the Branch Manager, and focus on safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

The role requires strong leadership, 5+ years in service/maintenance, and 3+ years supervisory experience, plus a solid foundation in maintenance accounting and Excel.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required; trade-school degree a plus; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Extensive Equipment Fleet Maintenance and leadership experience.
• 5 years’ service and maintenance experience and a minimum of 3 years supervisory experience.
• Strong motivational and leadership skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong knowledge of maintenance accounting and P&L.
• Basic computer skills (Excel).

Responsibilities

• Motivate, coach and train technicians to meet time and quality standards.
• Staff location based on skills and workload.
• Responsible for R&M, P&L and costs/budget.
• Lead and measure service/maintenance performance metrics.
• Oversee parts dept to ensure customer service and productivity.
• Evaluate performance and provide coaching/training.
• Promote safety culture and disciplined leadership.
• Other duties as needed.
