Job summary

United Rentals, the world’s largest equipment rental provider, is seeking a Service Manager to lead a major maintenance operation. You’ll hire and motivate a team of Service Technicians and partner with the Branch Manager to build a profitable location.

You will drive efficiency and customer satisfaction by ensuring equipment is properly maintained and repaired, while coaching staff, managing R&M and P&L, and implementing safety standards across the shop.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• Trade-school degree a plus.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Motivate, coach and train technicians to meet time & quality standards.
• Staff location based on skills and workload.
• Responsible for R&M, P&L and associated costs/budget.
• Lead, plan, measure and continuous improvement of all service and maintenance performance metrics.
• Oversee parts department activities for optimal customer service and cost control.
• Evaluate performance and provide necessary training and coaching.
• Promote a culture of safety and discipline through leadership and communication.
• Other duties assigned as needed.
