Job summary

Bidell Gas Compression in Medicine Hat, AB, is seeking a highly skilled Service Manager to lead daily operations, ensure top-tier client service, and drive field and shop activities within the gas compression sector.

The successful candidate will have a Journeyman/Millwright background, 5+ years in the industry, strong leadership and problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to coordinate crews, manage safety, invoicing, and supplier interactions.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Mechanic or Millwright Certificate.
• Minimum 5 years’ industry experience.
• Strong technical expertise; able to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
• Team player with staff and other branch locations.
• Well organized and efficient.
• Detail Oriented for accurate paperwork.
• Ability to work effectively without supervision.
• Strong computer skills.
• Flexible accommodating customers’ changing demands.
• Strong leadership ability to maintain day-to-day activities.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and business input to the Branch Manager.
• Maintain and oversee the quality of field work, shop work and rental returns.
• Comply with Health and Safety regulations.
• Provide daily business support to local customer base.
• Open work orders and coordinate field service mechanics.
• Approve daily field and shop time sheets.
• Assist with invoicing when jobs are completed. Provide on-call support.
• Coordinate all outside services and supply required purchase orders.
• Assist with service work when required.
• Provide technical support to the field mechanics when required.

THE OPPORTUNITY:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Service Manager to join our growing team in Medicine Hat, ABThe ideal candidate will be responsible for managing daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service. This role requires mechanical knowledge in the gas compression industry, and excellent leadership skills to motivate the team and maintain high standards of service quality.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (including but are not limited to the following):

PHYSICAL & WORK ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
