THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Shop Mechanic based out of Blackfalds, AB Parts and Service branch. The Shop Mechanic works closely with other shop departments to ensure all equipment meets company, customer and safety standards before leaving the facility. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, safety-focused and able to interpret technical manuals, drawings and specifications while producing accurate, high-quality work.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (Including but are not limited to the following)

• Rebuild natural gas engines and engine components
• Mentor apprentices as required
• Completing all necessary paperwork accurately and in a timely manner

QUALIFICATIONS

• Be a registered Heavy Equipment Technician or Millwright.
• Knowledge of natural gas engines and compressors is preferred.
• Be motivated and well organized.
• Have strong customer service and communication skills.
• Be flexible with time scheduling to meet customer needs.
• Be available and participate in the on-call rotation.
• Willing to comply with all company policies.
• Have a clean class 5 driver’s license
