Job summary

Premier Equipment, Ontario's largest John Deere dealership, seeks a Service Lead to oversee daily service department operations, manage work orders, assign tasks, and maintain high customer satisfaction in a fast-paced environment.

You will support the Service Manager, monitor WIP, manage budgets, and drive technician productivity while ensuring accurate invoicing and timely project completion. High school diploma required; Saturday rotation and on-call commitment are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Familiar with John Deere and competitive agricultural equipment is an asset.
• General understanding of mechanical and technical terms preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient with standard desktop applications such as Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the service department day-to-day operations and ensure work orders are processed accurately.
• Assign jobs and work areas to staff according to skills and knowledge.
• Monitor accounts payable invoices and post to the correct work orders and G/L accounts.
• Sell service labor and parts while maximizing technician productivity to meet budgets.
• Handle customer calls and organize day-to-day workloads within the service department.
• Prepare and present quotes to customers for repairs and obtain approvals.
• Monitor WIP to achieve company goals and ensure timely completion.
