Job summary

Toro Aluminum is seeking a field staff supervisor to liaise with homeowners and contracting personnel, ensuring professional service delivery. You will oversee technicians, schedule tasks, and maintain vehicle and tool readiness on site.

The role requires a Class 5 driver’s license, a high school diploma, and construction experience. Experience with power tools and working at heights is expected.

Interface with clients, both job-site and home-site related. Represent Toro Aluminum as field staff bearing the Toro Aluminum brand and maintain a professional image and demeanor.

DIRECT AND INDIRECT REPORTS
WORKING HOURS

Tuesday - Saturday 6:30am – 3:30pm

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES / ACCOUNTABILITIES
Management/Supervision/Leadership:
  • Supervise the work of a small team of Service Technicians ensuring work is scheduled, planned and executed to a high standard reporting any concerns to management.
  • Ensure that staff have the needed tools, equipment/resources and information to complete their jobs successfully.
Health & Safety:
  • Ensure health and safety standards of self and others are always adhered to working in compliance with the Health & Safety Act and regulations including using any equipment, protective devices or clothing required.
  • Maintain safety, cleanliness, tidiness, and order whilst on job sites.
  • Report any known workplace hazards or violations of the Act immediately.
Technical / Function-Specific:
  • Act as the main point of contact for key customers, e.g. homeowners and contracting personnel and ensure a positive service provision is provided at all times.
  • Schedule work tasks effectively so that planned activities are completed on time and in line with service deliverables.
  • Ensure vehicles and equipment are regularly serviced to minimize risk and ensure service continuity. Restock materials/supplies/equipment where necessary.
  • Liaise with internal management providing regular updates and reports in line with daily/weekly requirements.
  • Uphold service policies and procedures by giving 110% effort toward the scope outlined.
  • Disposal of recycling or waste when required.
Internal / External Customer Service:
  • Liaises with internal and external stakeholders representing the business projecting a positive, and professional demeanor always.
Administration:
  • Complete necessary paperwork relating to the job including: time sheets, reports, marking up drawings and floorplans, service inventory, and orders, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Class 5 Driver’s License required.
  • High school diploma.
  • Experience in the construction industry is required. Window experience is considered an asset.
  • Experience using various power tools.
  • Experience and ability to work at heights.
SKILLS / COMPETENCIES REQUIRED TO SUCCESSFULLY EXECUTE THE ABOVE RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Able to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Ability to work flexible hours.
  • Swing stage and suspended access certification is an asset.
