Job summary

Talantir is seeking a Service Designer for a remote role based in Canada. This long-term contract position focuses on service design across public sector initiatives and data-informed projects.

You will create journey maps, service blueprints, and drive co-design workshops with stakeholders to align user needs with digital solutions. The role emphasizes human-centered design, ethnographic research, and developing service metrics to measure impact within complex systems.

Qualifications

• Experience creating journey maps or service blueprints to visualize user needs.
• Experience facilitating and leading co-design workshops.
• Strong background in human-centered design across UX, CX, and service design.
• Experience working with digital or data products (data pipelines, data UIs, data catalogues).
• Experience moving from detail to system-level understanding in projects.
• Ability to plan, conduct, and analyze ethnographic field research with stakeholders.
• Experience creating and interpreting service metrics and measures.
• Experience in or for the public sector is a plus.

• Experience creating journey maps and service blueprints or other visual representations of user needs.
• Experience facilitating and leading co-design workshops.
• Experience using human-centered design approach (UX, customer experience, service design, interaction design, etc.).
• Experience working with digital or data product (data pipelines, data user interfaces, data catalogues, data architecture etc.)
• Working as a Service Designer on a project comparable in size and complexity to the service innovation, program review, and/or digital transformation projects such.
• Experience analyzing research data and presenting findings in diverse ways
• Experience creating service metrics and measures.
• Experience moving through projects shifting focus from small details to understanding the whole system and the relationship between them.
• Experience planning, conducting and analyzing behavioral/ethnographic field research to understand user, employee, and government needs and goals.
• Experience working in or for the public sector.
