Introduction:
We are seeking a Service Center Manager to join our Metso team. You will be responsible for overall daily center operations, ensuring safety, quality, efficiency, and profitability. Your role plays a crucial part in the management of center personnel, facilitation of exceptional customer service, and delivering on both financial and non-financial targets. In this position, you will report to the Director of Professional Services.

This position is located in Prince George, but we are happy to offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options. This position could include up to about 20% travel.

Team you belong to:
You will join a team of repair experts and coordinators committed to providing quality service to our clients who are enthusiastic about delivering high-quality, timely repairs and maintenance that aim to ensure customer satisfaction and operational quality. We are currently building an efficient workflow system and coordinating repair schedules and inventory logistics to ensure that all service requests are completed on time and to the highest standards.

What you’ll do:

  1. Manage Repair & Field Service operations, including safety, resource, performance, work order, and quality management.
  2. Ensure compliance with regulations, company policies, and training for Repairs & Field Service operations.
  3. Utilize digital tools (RMS, SAP) to streamline repair activities and adhere to global processes.
  4. Foster a proactive safety culture and implement quality management processes.
  5. Optimize resource capacity and ensure the team has the necessary skills.
  6. Oversee sales, costs, and budgets, ensuring financial targets are met.
  7. Investigate negative customer feedback and implement corrective actions.
  8. Actively participate in Sales meetings to understand the sales pipeline, upcoming Service Center workload, and promote Repair & Field Service offerings as a value add to the business.

Who you are:

  1. Minimum 10 years relevant managerial or service operations experience.
  2. Decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  3. Leadership skills in a workshop environment.
  4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  5. Proficiency in office applications.
  6. SAP experience.
  7. Previous experience within the industrial maintenance area.
