  • Ability to follow safety procedures and instructions.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and service cable products according to customer orders and specifications
  • Cut and roll cable from large spools into designated sizes
  • Prepare raw materials and components for production
  • Package, wrap, and prepare completed orders for delivery
  • Load and unload trucks using a forklift
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Follow company safety guidelines and operational procedures
  • Assist with other duties to support branch operations and business objectives

About the Job

We are seeking a dependable and motivated individual to join our team in Edmonton as a Service Associate (Cables). This position plays a key role in supporting the daily operations of Cable Bay by assembling, preparing, and servicing cable products according to customer specifications.

The successful candidate will contribute to the accuracy and efficiency of order fulfillment while maintaining a safe, organized, and team-oriented work environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands‑on tasks, values precision, and is eager to learn and grow within a supportive workplace.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble and service cable products according to customer orders and specifications
  • Cut and roll cable from large spools (e.g., 1,000’ lengths) into designated sizes
  • Prepare raw materials and components for production
  • Package, wrap, and prepare completed orders for delivery
  • Load and unload trucks using a forklift
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Follow company safety guidelines and operational procedures
  • Assist with other duties as required to support branch operations and business objectives

Skills and Abilities

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Good communication and organizational skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast‑paced setting with multiple priorities
  • Physically capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
  • Experience in warehouse, production, or assembly work is an asset – we’re happy to train the right candidate
  • Mechanical aptitude is strongly valued—whether you’ve worked on a farm, taken shop classes, or enjoy working on vehicles or equipment, your hands‑on experience is an advantage
  • Forklift experience is an asset, but not required
  • Demonstrated ability to follow instructions and adhere to safety procedures
  • A strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
