Job summary

Dilawri Group of Companies is seeking a Service Advisor to join our team at a Calgary dealership. The successful candidate will welcome customers, assess repair needs, explain maintenance plans, and manage the repair order process with a focus on accuracy and customer satisfaction.

Required are 2+ years in automotive service advisory, strong communication, and the ability to translate vehicle issues into technician instructions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of experience as a Service Advisor in the Automotive industry.
• Strong written and oral communication with a focus on customer service.
• Ability to translate customer vehicle issues into clear technician instructions.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
• Familiarity with CDK and Dealer-FX software is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and gather information to identify repair and maintenance work.
• Advise customers on maintenance schedules and warranties; upsell services as appropriate.
• Prepare and explain work orders and price estimates; verify vehicle history and recalls.
• Monitor progress of work and keep customers informed on status and timing.
• Obtain pre-authorization costs, parts availability, and payments.
• Ensure warranty coverage is verified and approvals are obtained.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

PositionOverview

We are looking for a Service Advisor to join our teamat[dealership]. The successful candidate is someone who ispassionate about the automotive industry and eager to contribute to our growingteam.

PrimaryDuties and Responsibilities

• Responsiblefor welcoming customers and gathering the required information to identifythe vehicle repair and maintenance work required.
• Advisecustomers on maintenance schedules, explain the importance of maintenancebased on manufacturers recommendations, sell services, understands andapplies factory and aftermarket warranties. Recommends additional servicesbased on vehicle history, time and mileage and provides thefinanceoffice with warranty expiration information.
• Documentsandcompletesa repair order, verifying customer information, preferredmethod of contact, vehicle information and concerns, accurate detailedprice estimate, completes vehicle walk-around, checks vehicle history foropen recalls and campaigns and provides customer with an expected timeframe for completion.
• Obtainpre-authorization costs, parts availability, and payments
• Verifiesthe scope of warranty coverage prior to the work being done and ensuresappropriate approvals are obtained.
• Monitorsthe progress of the work and keeps customers informed regarding the statusof their vehicle.
• ReviewCSI monthly score and day to day performance
• UtilizesCDKand Dealer-FX onall customers pay repair orders andaccurately orders parts.
• Preparationand explanation of the work and charges to the customer.
• Otherduties as assigned by management

QualificationsRequired

• Havea minimum of 2+years of experience as a Service Advisor in the Automotive industry.
• Requiresclear written and oral communication and a focus on excellent customerservice.
• Mustbe able to interpret customers' descriptions of their vehicle problems andtranslate them into clear instructions for the technicians.
• Excellentorganizational skills and an ability to effectively prioritizetasks.
• Mustbe able to effectively deal with customers' concerns or complaints.
• Goodunderstanding of the brand, maintenance, and warranty requirements.
• Mustbe computer literate with an ability to use a variety of programs and learn new ones easily.
• Previousexperience with CDK and/or Dealer-FX is considered an asset
• Legallyentitled to work in Canada.
