Job summary

Dilawri Group of Companies is seeking a Service Advisor for Country Hills Volkswagen in Calgary. Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a Service Advisor in automotive is required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with focus on customer service.
• Ability to interpret customer descriptions into technician instructions.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
• Ability to handle customer concerns or complaints effectively.
• Familiarity with brand maintenance and warranty requirements.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and gather information to identify repair and maintenance work.
• Advise customers on maintenance schedules and warranty information.
• Prepare and explain work orders, price estimates, and vehicle walk-arounds.
• Obtain pre-authorization, check parts availability and payments.
• Monitor work progress and inform customers of status and timelines.
• Utilize CDK and Dealer-FX for all pay repair orders and parts ordering.

PositionOverview

We are looking for aService Advisorto join our teamatCountry Hills Volkswagen. The successful candidate is someone who ispassionate about the automotive industry and eager to contribute to our growingteam.

PrimaryDuties and Responsibilities

• Responsiblefor welcoming customers and gathering the required information to identifythe vehicle repair and maintenance work required.
• Advisecustomers on maintenance schedules, explain the importance of maintenancebased on manufacturers recommendations, sell services, understands andapplies factory and aftermarket warranties. Recommends additional servicesbased on vehicle history, time and mileage and provides thefinanceoffice with warranty expiration information.
• Documentsandcompletesa repair order, verifying customer information, preferredmethod of contact, vehicle information and concerns, accurate detailedprice estimate, completes vehicle walk-around, checks vehicle history foropen recalls and campaigns and provides customer with an expected timeframe for completion.
• Obtainpre-authorization costs, parts availability, and payments
• Verifiesthe scope of warranty coverage prior to the work being done and ensuresappropriate approvals are obtained.
• Monitorsthe progress of the work and keeps customers informed regarding the statusof their vehicle.
• ReviewCSI monthly score and day to day performance
• UtilizesCDKand Dealer-FX onall customers pay repair orders andaccurately orders parts.
• Preparationand explanation of the work and charges to the customer.
• Otherduties as assigned by management

QualificationsRequired

• Havea minimum of 2+years of experience as a Service Advisor in theAutomotive industry.
• Requiresclear written and oral communication and a focus on excellent customerservice.
• Mustbe able to interpret customers’ descriptions of their vehicle problems andtranslate them into clear instructions for thetechnicians.
• Excellentorganizational skills and an ability to effectively prioritizetasks.
• Mustbe able to effectively deal with customers’ concerns or complaints.
• Goodunderstanding of the brand, maintenance, and warranty requirements.
• Mustbe computer literate with an ability to use a variety of programs andlearn new ones easily.
• Previousexperience with CDK and/or Dealer-FX is considered an asset
• Legallyentitled to work in Canada.
