Job summary

Cummins Inc. in Mount Pearl, NL is seeking a Service Administrator to join our Distribution team. You will act as the first contact for customers, create and manage work orders, and coordinate field technicians to meet customer needs.

The role includes warranty administration, on-site service events, and participation in an after-hours on-call rotation. The schedule is Mon-Fri 8am–5pm, with 100% on-site work and location flexibility across Atlantic regions.

• Experience creating work orders and maintaining documentation.

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize urgent customer needs.
• Proficiency with computer systems and service-related software applications.
• Bilingual French/English is an asset (depending on location).
• Willingness to participate in an after-hours on-call rotation.

This role will make an impact in the following ways:

• Serve as the first point of contact for customers, providing professional and timely support.
• Create and manage work orders while ensuring accurate service documentation.
• Coordinate and dispatch field technicians based on customer needs, priorities, and technician availability.
• Communicate with customers regarding service requests, scheduling, and work status updates.
• Support service operations by maintaining accurate records and updating service systems.
• Assist with warranty administration and service-related processes.
• Participate in a paid after-hours emergency phone rotation (approximately one week per month).
• Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies.

In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:

The responsibilities for this role would include Service Writer and Warranty Administration duties supporting InShop, Field Service Engine and Powergen service events. There could be some additional branch administrative tasks assigned, as well as opportunities to support other Atlantic locations.

The successful candidate will need the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while working closely with service technicians and parts professionals. The work schedule will be Mon-Fri 8am to 5pm with an after-hours on-call rotation.
