Job summary

Flynn Group of Companies is seeking a Service Account Manager for our Victoria branch. The role focuses on building long-term client relationships to grow the roofing service business and collaborating with local and national teams to support client needs.

You will read plans and contract documents, prepare takeoffs and estimates, and present solutions to clients. The position requires 3–5 years of estimating experience in commercial roofing and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of estimating experience in the commercial roofing industry
• Knowledge of commercial roofing systems and service/maintenance work
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specs, and contract documents
• Local market knowledge preferred
• Experience with Bluebeam or similar estimating software
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills
• Self-motivated with client-service focus and teamwork

Responsibilities

• Prepare takeoffs, estimates, and work orders accurately and promptly
• Deliver virtual presentations to clients and stakeholders
• Contribute to business development and support corporate initiatives

Job description

Flynn Group of Companies is currently seeking a Service Account Manager to join our Victoria Branch (located at 6836 Kirkpatrick Crescent, Saanichton BC). Flynn is the Leading Building Envelope Commercial Contractor in North America, with 6000+ employees and 38 branches. The Account Manager works with an amazing team in our Service Division supporting a wide array of projects and customers.

A Day In The Life

• Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients to grow the roofing service business
• Collaborate with local and national teams to support client needs and promote Flynn’s brand
• Communicate with customers to understand their requirements and offer tailored service solutions
• Follow up on quotes, tenders, and service opportunities to ensure client satisfaction
• Represent Flynn at industry events and client meetings
• Support marketing efforts through strategic initiatives and social media engagement
• Prepare accurate takeoffs, estimates, and work orders in a timely and professional manner
• Deliver virtual presentations to clients and stakeholders
• Contribute to business development and support corporate initiatives

What We Are Seeking

• Minimum 3 to 5 years of estimating experience in the commercial roofing industry
• Strong knowledge of commercial roofing systems, including new construction, re-roofing, and service and maintenance work. Service and maintenance experience is an asset
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and contract documents
• Local market knowledge is preferred
• Experience using Bluebeam or similar estimating and document management software
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills
• Self-motivated with a commitment to client service, business development, and team collaboration
