Job summary

Oliver & Bonacini Hospitality invites applications for a server role at Braven in Edmonton. The role requires Smart Serve certification and 6 months to 1 year of experience in a fast-paced restaurant, with strong attention to detail and the ability to stay calm under pressure.

You will work with Servers and Hosts to maximize seating and ensure guest satisfaction during events and games. Eligible candidates must be legally allowed to work in Canada and be prepared to contribute to a dynamic,

Qualifications

• Smart Serve Certification is required.
• 6 months–1 year of previous experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
• High attention to detail.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to take direction and prioritize.
• Strong oral communication skills.
• High level of product knowledge.
• Maintain professional urgency and momentum.
• Event Night Availability – able to work Oilers Home Games & Concerts in Rogers Place.
• Legally eligible to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Answer questions about food, beverages, wine and other restaurant services.
• Assist with food running and ensure plates reach guests correctly.
• Maintain cleanliness of the section and stock areas.
• Coordinate with Servers and Hosts to maximize seating.
• Maintain floor awareness and cleanliness.
• Ensure condiments are pre-portioned and fridges stocked.
• Monitor food quality and presentation standards.
• Follow all food safety standards and systems.
• Empty garbage and manage waste accordingly.
• Relay guest comments to Servers to ensure a positive experience.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The day to day:

• Answer questions about food, beverages, wine and other restaurant functions and services when necessary
• Assist with food running, ensuring that plates arrive to the proper guest (no auctioning)
• Monitor the cleanliness of section and ensure all materials and areas are clean and free from clutter
• Communicate with Servers and Hosts to maximize seating
• Practice a high level of floor awareness and clear/clean as required
• Ensure that condiments are pre-portioned and the fridges are stocked with milk, cream, butter etc.
• Monitor food quality and presentation standards
• Follow all food safety standards and systems
• Empty garbage, change linen bags and dispose of garbage and recycling
• Communicate to all Servers any comments or information provided by guests to ensure a positive, memorable experience
• Other duties as assigned or required

Qualifications

• Valid Smart Serve Certification, required.
• 6 months- 1 year previous experience in a fast paced restaurant environment
• High attention to detail
• Ability to remain calm under pressure while working in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to take direction and prioritize
• Strong oral communication skills
• High level of product knowledge
• Ability to maintain a level of professional urgency and momentum
• Event Night Availability - able to work all Oilers Home Games & Concerts in Rogers Place
