Job summary

OLIVER & BONACINI is seeking a hospitality professional for Braven in Edmonton. The role focuses on guest experience, wine and food service, and collaborative teamwork in a lively setting.

The candidate will support food running, maintain cleanliness, and help manage seating while delivering warm, efficient service. Applicants must have Smart Serve and Canada work eligibility, with prior restaurant experience.

Qualifications

• Smart Serve Certification is required.
• 6 months to 1 year of experience in a fast-paced restaurant.
• High attention to detail in all tasks.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure in a busy setting.
• Ability to take direction and prioritize duties.
• Strong knowledge of menu and products.
• Event Night Availability for Oilers Home Games & Concerts.
• Legally eligible to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Answer questions about food, beverages, wine and services as needed.
• Assist with food running to ensure plates reach guests promptly.
• Maintain clean and organized sections and prep areas.
• Coordinate with Servers and Hosts to maximize seating.
• Uphold floor awareness and keep areas clean and stocked.
• Ensure condiments/fridges are stocked and prepared.
• Monitor food quality and presentation standards.
• Follow all food safety standards and waste disposal procedures.
• Communicate guest comments to Servers to ensure a positive experience.

Job Description

This is a place for inventive hospitality professionals who are eager to push culinary boundaries, deliver authentic, memorable guest experiences, and be part of a team that blends craftsmanship with creativity.

The day to day:

• Answer questions about food, beverages, wine and other restaurant functions and services when necessary


• Assist with food running, ensuring that plates arrive to the proper guest (no auctioning)


• Monitor the cleanliness of section and ensure all materials and areas are clean and free from clutter


• Communicate with Servers and Hosts to maximize seating


• Practice a high level of floor awareness and clear/clean as required


• Ensure that condiments are pre-portioned and the fridges are stocked with milk, cream, butter etc.


• Monitor food quality and presentation standards


• Follow all food safety standards and systems


• Empty garbage, change linen bags and dispose of garbage and recycling


• Communicate to all Servers any comments or information provided by guests to ensure a positive, memorable experience


• Other duties as assigned or required

Qualifications

• Valid Smart Serve Certification, required.


• 6 months- 1 year previous experience in a fast paced restaurant environment


• High attention to detail


• Ability to remain calm under pressure while working in a fast-paced environment


• Ability to take direction and prioritize


• High level of product knowledge


• Ability to maintain a level of professional urgency and momentum


• Event Night Availability - able to work all Oilers Home Games & Concerts in Rogers Place


• Legally eligible to work in Canada

Wage: $15 /hour (+shared gratuities)
