Job summary

Canlan Sports in Winnipeg is seeking a Server to join our team. You will apply advanced knowledge of beverages, assist with tableware, and promote menu items while delivering friendly service.

Experience in food & beverage is preferred; Smart Serve or Serving It Right is required. You should be outgoing, team oriented, able to handle payments via POS, and available evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must have Smart Serve / Serving It Right or equivalent.
• Food & beverage experience preferred.
• Willing to work evenings and weekends.

• Apply advanced knowledge of beverages.
• Apply developed knowledge of tableware and bar equipment.
• Maintain, set and clear tables as required.
• Handle payments and gratuities, make change, and process voids through SQUIRREL system accurately.
• Maintain knowledge of and actively promote menu, beverages and current promotions.
• Receive product delivery and ensure safe, sanitary and secure storage when required.
• Ensure all opening / closing procedures are completed (shift dependent).

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Apply advanced knowledge of beverages


• Apply developed knowledge of tableware and bar equipment


• Maintain, set and clear tables as required

QUALIFICATIONS

ABILITIES, ATTRIBUTES AND EXPERIENCE

• Previous Food & Beverage experience preferred


• Outgoing, positive and team orientated


• Experienced handling payment and gratuities through a POS system (preferred)


• Willingness and ability to work flexible hours (evenings & weekends)
