Job summary

Sooke Harbour House in British Columbia is seeking enthusiastic Servers to join our Food & Beverage team and deliver attentive, personalized service that makes every guest feel welcomed.

Reporting to the Director of Food & Beverage, you will present menus, take orders, and collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely service. A Serving It Right certificate is required or can be obtained.

Qualifications

  • Previous serving or hospitality experience is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Positive attitude and strong team-oriented approach.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Serving It Right certification (required or ability to obtain).

Responsibilities

  • Welcome guests with friendly, attentive, and professional service.
  • Present menus, answer questions, and make food and beverage recommendations.
  • Accurately take guest orders and enter them into the POS system.
  • Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining service standards.
  • Prepare and maintain dining areas before, during, and after service.
  • Work collaboratively with culinary and bar teams to ensure timely service.
  • Process guest payments and maintain accurate cash handling procedures.
  • Assist with private events, weddings, and special functions.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards throughout the restaurant.
  • Ensure compliance with Serving It Right regulations and company policies.

We are looking for enthusiastic, service-oriented Servers to join our Food & Beverage team and help create memorable dining experiences for our guests.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Director of Food & Beverage, the Server is responsible for providing attentive, professional, and personalized food and beverage service while ensuring every guest enjoys an exceptional dining experience.
