The RFBR Series Training Manager reports to the Training Director and is responsible for the delivery and maintenance monitoring the Series-specific training developed by the Series Training Superintendent and Series Training Supervisors. The Series Training Manager provides direction to the entire technical training group, ensures that training material is developed according to this Plan and company procedures, so that it is correct and complete for delivering to the Project staff. The RFBR Series Training Manager arranges and/or attends Training Working Group meetings with Construction, Engineering, Radiation Protection (RP), Foreign Material Exclusion (FME), and Quality Assurance (QA) staff to ensure the content of the training course meets the Project requirements.

The RFBR Series Training Manager is responsible for:

  • Reviewing and approving training materials prepared by the Series Supervisors and/or Technical Writers
  • Ensuring trainers are qualified in accordance with the Overall Training Program
  • Ensure training schedule is developed in support of execution demands, ensuring logistical conflicts are resolved
  • Ensuring that goods and consumables required to train in a simulated field environment have been identified, ordered, and available for training in accordance to the project readiness process and based on trade demand provided by series
  • Collaborates with Series Area Managers or equivalent to record and analyze metrics in the training environment in order to improve and predict performance in the field
  • Overseeing the training and evaluations to ensure Trades Workers are qualified to perform their assigned tasks in the field
  • Ensure that training material and qualifications are recorded and stored accurately within the Learning Management System in accordance to document control/records procedures
  • Review and submission of lessons learned from training for use in subsequent Series and in future Retubing Units
  • Ensuring that evaluations are properly conducted by the Series Supervisors and Instructors
  • Ensuring that the Safety and PJB for training sessions is prepared and conducted properly
  • Facilitates/Supports series training rehearsal activities which are directed by Construction
  • Responsible for preparing and representing Series training in project related presentations, audits and external reviews
  • Responsible for estimating, developing and reporting on Series training budgets including Goods and Subcontracts
  • Responsible for departmental development, succession planning and mentorship including performance reviews and management

Must have an understanding of construction trades jurisdiction and union agreements.
Must have worked in a construction trades environment.
