Qualcomm invites a co-op student to join the High-Speed Interfaces Silicon Validation team in Ottawa for hands-on lab testing of ultra-high-speed SerDes interfaces in SOCs. You will grow hardware and software skills, work with modern lab equipment, and contribute to next‑generation technology.

You will characterize electrical/optical interfaces, develop automation scripts, and leverage tools like oscilloscopes, VNAs, and AWGs, with mentorship and professional development throughout the

Formación

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Engineering Science, or CS.
• Experience with Python and OO programming fundamentals.
• Familiarity with Git is a plus.
• Interest in high-speed interfaces and lab testing is valued.

Responsabilidades

• Assist electrical/optical characterization of next-gen products for AI/data centers.
• Work with lab instruments to build complex test fixtures.
• Develop scripts for device configuration, test routines, instrumentation control, and data collection.
• Support validation of SerDes transceivers in SOC designs.
