Qualcomm Canada ULC in Ottawa seeks a co-op Engineering Intern to support lab testing of ultra-high-speed SerDes interfaces in SOC designs for electrical and optical applications. You will work with the latest lab equipment, develop scripts for device configuration and data collection, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to validate designs aligned with IEEE 802.3, OIF, and multi-standard MSAs.

• Familiarity with Python and object-oriented programming concepts is required.
• Experience developing or maintaining software tools is a strong asset.
• Experience with Git or other version control systems is a plus.
• Interest or experience with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, BERTs, analyzers, VNAs, AWGs is valued.

Responsibilities

• Characterization and validation of ultra-high-speed SerDes interfaces in SOC designs.
• Work in a state-of-the-art lab building complex test fixtures and automating tests.
