Blacksmith Agency is seeking an SEO Manager, Multifamily, to own search strategy for a portfolio of multifamily clients. You will lead technical SEO, content priorities, and the ranking story, collaborating with writers and AI to deliver results.

You will report on GA4, Search Console, and local multi-location SEO, while coordinating with US-based clients on live calls. This role is remote across Canada, the US, and South Africa, with full-time hours and agency pace.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on in SEO: audits and fixes performed personally.
• Fluency with Search Console, GA4, Screaming Frog and Ahrefs or Semrush.
• Agency experience managing multiple clients simultaneously.
• Clear spoken English with US clients on live calls.
• SEO for multifamily or multi-location businesses is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Own technical SEO: crawl, indexation, site speed, schema and site architecture.
• Develop keyword strategy, on-page optimization and content priorities with writers/AI.
• Get clients found in AI search alongside classic organic results.
• Manage local search and multi-location SEO where needed.
• Report in GA4 and Search Console; maintain quarterly client roadmaps.

About The Role

Blacksmith Agency is an AI-first digital agency. As SEO Manager, Multifamily you own search for a book of multifamily clients (multifamily owners and property management groups running large portfolios): the technical roadmap, the content priorities and the ranking story when the client asks what moved. You are the strategic voice at the table, and you make the calls.

What You Will Own

• Technical SEO: crawl, indexation, site speed, schema and site architecture.
• Keyword strategy, on-page optimization and content priorities, with writers and AI producing the drafts.
• Getting clients found in AI search: Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT and Perplexity, alongside classic organic results.
• Links, local search and multi-location SEO where the client needs it.
• Reporting in GA4 and Search Console, and the quarterly roadmap for each client.

What You Bring

• 3+ years hands-on in SEO: you have run the audits and made the fixes yourself.
• Fluency with Search Console, GA4, Screaming Frog and Ahrefs or Semrush.
