Job summary

Lakeridge Health seeks a Sr. Investigation Lead in Whitby, Ontario to conduct impartial investigations into complex workplace complaints within the healthcare network.

Reporting to the Manager, Workplace Investigations, the role demands strong investigative, research, analytical and information-gathering skills. Standard hours are day shifts with a hybrid schedule; occasional outside hours and travel across Lakeridge Health sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in HR, Legal Studies, Business Administration, Human Rights, Criminology, social work, Labour Relations or related field.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience conducting complex workplace investigations, preferably in healthcare or public sector.
• Knowledge of Ontario Human Rights Code, AODA, and safety legislation; ability to apply trauma-informed and equity-informed approaches.

Responsibilities

• Conduct impartial investigations into complex workplace complaints with thorough, timely and fair processes.
• Develop and execute investigation plans aligned with legislation, collective agreements and policies.
• Interview complainants, respondents and witnesses using trauma-informed approaches to gather information.
• Analyze evidence, determine findings, and prepare detailed investigation reports and findings.
• Collaborate with legal counsel and represent the organization in legal proceedings when required.
• Ensure secure documentation of all investigative activities and support policy/guideline updates.
