Job summary

The Evergreen Campus of Care, operated by Baptist Housing in White Rock, BC, is seeking a Recreation Assistant to plan and deliver therapeutic and recreational activities for residents. Under the Recreation Manager, you will promote health, wellness and independence, ensure safety, and support resident engagement.

You will assist with resident care and mealtimes, guide volunteers, build relationships with residents, families and staff, and model Baptist Housing values.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 completion required.
• Recreation Therapy Aide certificate or diploma (minimum 12-month program).
• Current Food Safe Certificate.
• Unrestricted Class 4 License with a clear driver’s abstract or willingness to obtain one.
• Current First Aid Certificate.
• At least 1 year of experience implementing recreation programs in residential care.
• Combination of education, training, and experience may be considered (e.g., RSA certificate).
