Job summary

Lifemark Seniors Wellness is seeking a Permanent Part-Time Physiotherapy Assistant in Clinton, ON to support residents in LTC settings. You will work 27 hours per week under the supervision of a physiotherapist, assisting with treatment plans and delivering group exercise sessions.

Applicants should have a PTA/OTA diploma or a degree in Kinesiology or a related healthcare field, with LTC experience considered an asset and required clearances including a Vulnerable Sector check and a 2-Step

Qualifications

• PTA/OTA diploma or degree in Kinesiology or healthcare background.
• Experience in LTC is an asset.
• Valid Vulnerable Sector screening (within 6 months).
• Proof of Tuberculin (2-Step Mantoux Test) clearance.

Responsibilities

• Assist supervising physiotherapist with treatment plans for residents in LTC.
• Perform treatments as prescribed by the supervising Physiotherapist including gait training, balance, transfer training, ROM, strengthening, and modalities.
• Deliver dynamic group exercise classes for residents.
• Set up and prepare equipment and clean up after treatments.
• Ensure resident gym and treatment areas are safe and tidy.
• Record daily treatments using Seniors Wellness' proprietary web-based system.
