Job summary

Lifemark Seniors Wellness is seeking a Permanent Full-Time Physiotherapy Assistant in Lindsay, ON to support the supervising physiotherapist in residential care settings. You will aid with treatment plans and patient care, working in a collaborative team to improve residents' mobility and function.

The role requires a PTA/OTA diploma or kinesiology background; LTC experience is an asset. A current vulnerable sector screening and TB clearance are required.

Qualifications

• PTA/OTA diploma or degree in Kinesiology or related healthcare field.
• Vulnerable Sector screening within 6 months.
• 2-Step Mantoux TB clearance proof.

Responsibilities

• Assist supervising physiotherapist with treatment plans for residents in care communities.
• Perform gait training, balance, transfer, ROM, strengthening and modalities as directed.
• Deliver dynamic exercise classes for groups of residents.
• Set up and clean equipment; maintain tidy treatment areas and gym.
• Communicate changes in resident status to the physiotherapist.
• Record daily treatments using the facility's web-based system.

Education
