Amica Aurora Promenade is hiring a Life Enrichment Assistant to enrich residents’ lives through engaging recreation programs. You will deliver diverse activities, communicate daily schedules, and build meaningful relationships with residents, families and staff.

Qualifications

• Degree/diploma in gerontology or related field preferred.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification.
• Valid driver’s license or willingness to obtain one.
• Smart Serve / Serving It Right and Food Handler certifications.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to lift and support multiple activities.
• Experience with geriatric programming is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery and facilitation of a variety of programs and events.
• Create daily activity communications.
• Build connections with residents, families and team members.
• Drive the bus to take residents on outings in the community.
• Support completion of administrative tasks.
