Raise is hiring a Senior Wealth Technology Consultant in Calgary to join the client’s wealth technology team. You will assess the current tech landscape, support on-flight wealth initiatives, and design a scalable modernization roadmap to support future growth.

Responsibilities include landscape assessment, roadmap execution, and providing Tier-3 support across front-, middle-, and back-office platforms, with a focus on API orchestration and cloud-based infrastructure to drive efficiency.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of technical experience directly supporting wealth management
  • Broad understanding of wealth domain mechanics including clearing, settlement, and financial planning tools
  • Experience with enterprise application integration, databases, API patterns (REST/SOAP/GraphQL) and cloud infrastructure

Responsibilities

  • Landscape assessment and modernization of the current application suite
  • Develop and execute a phased roadmap for long-term growth and resiliency
  • Provide technical leadership and Tier-3 support for wealth initiatives across front-, middle-, back-, and back-office platforms
  • Manage integrations, data flows and API orchestration between core platforms
  • Collaborate with analysts, architects, and business leaders to align solutions with goals

  • Pay Rate: $ 88.24 to 110.29/hour, depending on experience
  • Contract Length: 6 Months

Note: The primary pay rate is based on T4 classification; however, we will also consider applications from candidates interested in an INC classification, where applicable.

Description

The Senior Wealth Technology Consultant to join our clients Wealth technology team. In this role, you will evaluate our technical landscape, provide hands‑on support for key in-flight wealth initiatives, and design a scalable roadmap to modernize our platform for future growth. You will bridge complex wealth‑management business requirements and enterprise technical architecture.

Responsibilities
  • Landscape Assessment & Modernization: Help assess the current application suite, identifying technical debt, integration bottlenecks, and opportunities for optimization.
  • Roadmap & Strategy: Help develop and execute a phased roadmap that supports long-term business growth and operational resiliency.
  • Project Delivery & Support: Provide technical leadership and tier-3 application support for active, critical wealth initiatives across front-, middle-, and back-office platforms.
  • Vendor & Tool Integration: Manage technical integrations, data flows, and API orchestration between core platforms (trading, portfolio management, clearing, compliance, and wealth planning).
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with business analysts, developers, enterprise architects, and business leaders to align technical solutions with organizational goals.
Qualifications
  • 8+ years of technical experience directly supporting the wealth management arm of a bank, brokerage, or financial institution.
  • Domain Knowledge: Broad understanding of wealth domain mechanics, including clearing and settlement, fee management, portfolio rebalancing, client onboarding, and financial planning tools.
  • Strong background in enterprise application integration, database architecture (SQL/NoSQL), API integration patterns (REST/SOAP/GraphQL), and modern cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Hands-on proficiency or deep technical familiarty with a combination of the following wealth applications is highly desirable: Dataphile, PureWealth, iBalance, d1g1t, Charles River, Conquest, Execlear, Varicent, Fidessa, Fundserv, etc.
  • Education and Certifications
  • A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Management Information Systems (MIS), Commerce, or Business/Finance.
  • Nice to have certifications
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect, Data & Architecture Certifications TOGAF, Core Wealth & Portfolio Platforms: Dataphile, PureWealth, iBalance, d1g1t, Charles River, Execlear, Varicent, Fidessa, and Fundserv, Planning & Integration Tools: Conquest (financial planning) and robust API orchestration/database architecture (SQL/NoSQL, REST, SOAP, GraphQL).
