Job summary

Raise is seeking a Senior Data Analyst in Toronto to perform data and business analysis related to investment management, writing SQL queries and developing Python scripts.

Work closely with Front Office teams to understand requirements, analyze data flows across systems, and validate data within Snowflake. This 12-month contract offers a hybrid onsite arrangement with a competitive hourly pay rate.

Qualifications

• 6–10+ years of overall experience in investment management and data analysis.
• Strong investment management background with technical data analysis.
• Understanding of Front Office systems and platforms (Bloomberg).
• Experience with Snowflake is preferred.

Senior Data Analyst

• Pay Rate: $80.44/hr - $94.94/hr
• Contract Length: 12 Months with possibility for extension

• Perform data and business analysis related to investment management.
• Analyze investment data and understand how it flows across different systems and platforms.
• Write and execute SQL queries for data analysis and validation.

Technical & Domain Requirements:

• 6–10+ years of overall experience in a combination of investment management and technical data analysis.
• Strong Investment Management experience with technical data analysis.
• Understanding of Front Office systems and investment platforms, such as Bloomberg.
• Experience with Snowflake is preferred.
• Strong understanding of data structures, data flows, and different investment systems.

Critical Must-Have:

• Investment Management experience combined with strong technical Data Analysis experience.

Nice-to-Haves:

• CFA designation or progress toward CFA (Level I–III).
• Experience with investment management platforms. Experience supporting or working with Front Office/trading systems.
• Experience working for direct competitors in asset management, insurance, or investment firm, particularly in a comparable environment.
