City of Calgary is seeking a Senior Water Resources Planner to develop water resource plans and policies aligned with Environmental Risk and Resilience and Water Services goals. You will lead source water protection planning, coordinate watershed partnerships, and provide expert reviews for planning circulations and infrastructure initiatives.

The role requires a master's degree and a track record of strong communication, project management, and leadership.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required in Resource Management, Planning, Geography, Environmental Sciences or Applied Sciences.
• Strong communication and project management skills.
• Experience with water resource planning, policy development, and stakeholder collaboration is expected.

Responsabilités

• Lead development of water resource plans, policies and strategies aligned to City goals.
• Coordinate source water protection planning and upstream watershed partnerships.
• Provide senior expertise in reviews of planning circulations, development applications, and infrastructure initiatives.
• Engage with internal and external partners to manage water resource projects and stakeholder outreach.
• Oversee public engagement and communicate with other levels of government.
• Charter, plan and monitor projects involving City staff and consultants.
