Job summary

Recruitment By Design is assisting a civil engineering consultancy in the GTA to hire an Intermediate/Senior Water Resources Engineer. This permanent, full-time role requires 4–10+ years of local Ontario experience, with strong floodplain hydraulics and hydrology expertise and a hybrid work model.

You will lead the water resources component across projects, collaborate with staff and clients, manage design and execution, prepare reports, budgets and proposals, and apply PCSWMM, HEC‑RAS and GIS

Qualifications

• 4–10+ years of local Ontario experience in civil engineering and water resources.
• Strong knowledge of floodplain hydraulics and hydrology.
• Experience leading projects and mentoring junior staff.
• Experience preparing technical reports and proposals.

Responsibilities

• Lead the water resources component of a variety of projects.
• Collaborate with staff and clients on active projects.
• Manage design and execution of civil and water resources tasks including stormwater management.
• Prepare, review and support technical reports, budgets and work plans.
