Job summary

Stantec in Markham, Ontario seeks a Senior Water Resources Engineer to lead multidisciplinary water resources projects within the Environmental Services line. You will guide hydrologic, hydraulic, and water quality work from concept through delivery, partnering with diverse professionals and clients.

Applicants should have a graduate degree in Engineering or Environmental Sciences, PEO/PGO registration, and 10+ years in consulting or regulatory settings, with strong leadership and business

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in Engineering or Environmental Sciences with a water resources focus.
• Registration with PEO or PGO is required or strongly preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant consulting or regulatory experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead water resources projects involving hydrologic, hydraulic, and water quality components.
• Oversee budgets, staff allocation, and invoicing for projects.
• Prepare proposals, work plans, schedules, and budgets, managing tasks.
• Author clear, technical reports documenting modeling results and field data.
• Supervise hydrological and water quality field investigations.
• Collaborate within multidisciplinary teams to achieve project success.
• Apply applicable standards, guidelines, and regulatory frameworks.
• Office-based work with extensive data analysis; travel to field sites as needed.
