Job summary

Stantec in Ottawa is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join the Water team in a hybrid role. You will lead complex projects, supervise junior staff, and provide senior technical guidance across municipal water, sanitary, and storm infrastructures.

You will oversee scope, schedule, and budgets, interface with clients, and contribute to multi-discipline teams while mentoring peers to deliver high-quality solutions for communities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• Licensed Professional Engineer in Ontario (or eligible).
• Minimum 10 years of experience across water projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead high-complexity projects and act as Engineer-of-Record.
• Mentor junior staff and review work for quality.
• Provide technical leadership for civil projects.
• Manage project budgets and schedules.
• Develop work plans and manage delivery risk.
• Support proposal development and technical reviews.
• Lead project coordination with clients and partners.
• Ensure QA/QC on projects and peers’ work.
