Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Municipal Engineer to join our Water team in Ontario. The role can be based in Toronto, London, or Stoney Creek with a hybrid work arrangement.

You will lead municipal conveyance designs for water, storm, and sanitary systems, guiding project teams from concept through construction. The ideal candidate has a Civil Engineering degree, a P.Eng license or the ability to obtain within a year, and at least 10 years of municipal design experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering.
• P.Eng license or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• 10+ years of municipal conveyance design experience, including co-op/internship work.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform civil conveyance design for watermain, storm, and sanitary sewer projects from concept to construction inspection.
• Prepare engineering calculations, drawings, specs, and construction documents.
• Support proposals, manage project deliverables and schedule with leads/project manager.
• Coordinate with construction teams and provide design guidance during construction.
• Assist with budgeting, cost estimation, and client communications.
