Job summary

Stantec’s Water Delivery Team in Canada is seeking a Senior Civil Technologist to join our London and Ottawa offices. The role focuses on design, drafting, and digital deliverables for municipal water infrastructure using Civil 3D, ACC, and related CAD/BIM tools.

The successful candidate will mentor staff and collaborate across North America on diverse projects, supporting QA/QC and ensuring timely delivery within a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Civil 3D and CAD/BIM platforms.
• Experience with municipal infrastructure standards is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Update 3D models for large, complex projects and draft using CAD/BIM tools.
• Lead the development of digital deliverables and coordinate QAQC.
• Mentor junior staff.
• Coordinate drawings with project managers using ACC or ProjectWise.
• Design site plans and civil structures per standards.
• Perform earthworks calculations from topo data.
• Design grades, sewers, and water networks from rough grades.
• Contribute to preliminary concepts in planning phase.
• Prepare as-built drawings after project completion.
• Ensure quality control and meet deadlines.
