Job summary

Stantec in Canada is seeking a Senior Municipal Engineer to join our Water team, based in Toronto, London, or Stoney Creek on a hybrid schedule.

You will lead municipal conveyance design for water, storm, and sanitary projects across GTA and Southwestern Ontario, collaborating with a Project Manager and guiding staff. The role offers growth as a technical resource, project manager, or team leader.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Environmental or Civil Engineering.
• P.Eng license or ability to obtain within one year.
• Minimum of 10 years of municipal conveyance design experience.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform civil conveyance design for watermain, storm, and sanitary sewer projects, from preliminary design to detailed design, tendering and construction inspection, with consideration for minimizing impacts and constraints due to environmental and permitting requirements.
• Preparation of engineering calculations, design drawings, technical specifications, and construction documents.
• Conduct calculations, preparation of proposals and technical reports, and assist the project manager or lead engineer.
• Take responsibility in managing project deliverables and schedule with project technical leads and the project manager.
• Coordinate with construction activities, providing guidance and clarification of the design during construction.
