Intlvac is a high-tech industrial manufacturing company based in Halton Hills, Ontario. We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Senior Vacuum Pump Repair Technician to join our team. Intlvac is a world leader in the field of thin film deposition technology with a team comprised of top scientific researchers, software programmers, mechanical and electrical engineers.
Position Summary
In the Senior Vacuum Pump Repair Technician role, you will oversee the pump repair department whose tasks include the diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of various types of vacuum pumps, ensuring they are restored to optimal performance.
Key Responsibilities – Manage and Coordinate team activities including:
·Diagnosis and Repair:Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair a variety of vacuum pumps, including rotary vane, diaphragm,and scroll.
·Maintenance and Overhaul:Conduct preventive maintenance and complete overhauls, replacing worn-out parts and fluids as needed.
·Testing and Quality Assurance:Test repaired pumps to ensure proper operation and performance before shipment.
·Documentation:Maintain accurate repair logs, including details of diagnostics, parts used, and work performed.
·Customer Communication:Provide feedback and recommendations to customers about repair options, preventive care, and maintenance schedules.
·Workshop Organization:Keep work areas clean, organized, and equipped with necessary tools and spare parts.
·Shipping Preparation:Drain oil, secure pumps, and prepare them for shipment with necessary labels and instructions.
