Job summary

BDC, the bank dedicated to Canadian entrepreneurs, seeks a Senior Manager, Underwriting – Credit Risk Management to lead credit due diligence, risk analysis, and loan proposal authorization for moderate to high complexity files across Canada.

You will develop well-supported proposals aligned with credit risk standards and engage with partners to ensure prudent portfolio growth while fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in commerce, business administration, accounting, or related field.
• CPA or CFA designation is a strong asset.
• Bilingualism in English and French is a strong asset.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite and authorize loan proposals for moderate to high complexity with detailed financial analysis and due diligence.
• Determine credit terms, pricing, repayment structures, and covenants.
• Review loan documentation and negotiate structures with internal partners.
• Support compliance matters and timely risk mitigation during transactions.
• Coach and mentor team members and promote knowledge sharing.
