Job summary

iA Financial Group in Canada seeks a Senior Underwriter to assess complex life, health, and disability insurance risks, guiding profitable decisions. You’ll also mentor peers and collaborate on a new underwriting automation system.

With a bachelor’s degree and 8+ years in life underwriting, you’ll negotiate with reinsurers, manage multiple priorities, and communicate clearly with English-speaking underwriters across Canada in a hybrid, collaborative environment.

The typical hiring range for this position is between 88k and 110k CAD per year,
for 37.5 hours per week; the base salary offered may vary depending on
knowledge, skills, years of experience, and internal equity related to the role. At
iA, we are committed to offering a fair, equitable, and market-based
compensation structure. Our market data is updated annually to reflect the most
current market conditions.
