iA Financial Group in Canada is seeking a Senior Underwriter to lead complex life, health, and disability risk assessments, applying established underwriting rules to deliver profitable, client-centered decisions.

You will coach less experienced underwriters, negotiate with reinsurers, and collaborate with IT and business teams to implement a new underwriting automation system in a hybrid work environment across Quebec and other Canadian locations.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in individual life underwriting or in a similar role.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to assess medical and non-medical information to make accurate underwriting decisions.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused mindset, delivering high-quality work under tight deadlines.
