Job summary

CenterLine (Windsor) Limited is seeking a Senior Turnkey Systems Designer to lead the design of automated welding and metal forming tooling in a 3D modeling environment. You will design fixtures and tooling for resistant spot and arc welds, develop EOAT, and support procurement with BOMs and documentation.

The role reports to the Turnkey Systems Design Group Leader and requires 5+ years in machine design, strong problem-solving, hands-on mechanical aptitude, and CAD/PLM experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in machine design.
• Innovation, creativity, attention to detail and problem-solving skills are essential.
• Must be organized and able to work under tight time constraints with reasonable time estimates.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to be hands on.
• Knowledge of PLM systems and revision control is desirable.
• Intermediate to advanced computer skills.
• 2D & 3D CAD modeling software experience desirable (AutoDesk Inventor, AutoCad preferred).

Responsibilities

• Work within a multi-shift design group and interface with Robot Simulations, Controls Design, Project Management, Mechanical Build and Detailing staff to complete tasks.
• Create complete 3D designs and generate BOMs for purchasing and manufacturing requirements.
• Create and maintain documents to support design and customer requirements (ECR/ECNs, process flow, sequences, 2D layouts).
