Job summary

CIMA+ is seeking an experienced Intermediate Transportation Planning Engineer to join our mobility team in Calgary. You will lead projects shaping how communities move across Calgary, Alberta, and Western Canada, collaborating with planners, engineers, designers, and data specialists to deliver sustainable mobility solutions.

Ideal candidates will have 7+ years of transportation engineering experience, a P.Eng. in Alberta, and strong client engagement skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of experience in transportation engineering with a proven project delivery and client engagement track record.
• Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Alberta or ability to apply for status.
• Strong knowledge of Canadian and Alberta transportation standards, TAC guidelines, provincial manuals, and municipal engineering requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support transportation planning studies including master plans, functional planning studies, impact assessments, and safety analyses.
• Provide technical leadership, analyze data, develop practical transportation solutions, and prepare reports and presentations.
• Build and maintain relationships with municipal and private-sector clients; support proposals and business development.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to the growth of the transportation practice.
