Job summary

Stantec seeks an Intermediate to Senior Environmental Planner to join our Transportation group in Ontario. The role focuses on environmental planning, EA, permitting, and project delivery across a diverse portfolio including roads, bridges, rail, transit, and airports.

Ideal candidates will have strong planning credentials, experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and the ability to mentor junior staff while contributing to client relationships and business development.

Qualifications

• Experience in environmental planning and approvals for infrastructure projects.
• Ability to work within multidisciplinary teams and coordinate technical input.
• Strong writing, presentation, and facilitation skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage environmental planning tasks for transportation projects (roads, rail, transit, airports).
• Lead or support Municipal Class EA, provincial and federal EA, and approvals strategies.
• Coordinate permitting, agency correspondence, and input from specialists.
• Design and implement engagement programs with communities and stakeholders.
• Prepare reports, proposals, and technical memoranda tailored to projects.
• Support business development through proposals and client relationships.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
