Job summary

City of Brampton is seeking a Supervisor 6 in Transit Operations to oversee Supervisors and Service Delivery, ensuring on-time transit service, safety, and high customer satisfaction. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Operations, you will coordinate staffing, training, and performance, while maintaining compliance with safety standards and negotiations with labor relations.

This role requires strong leadership in a unionized environment and familiarity with transit operations.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Business, Human Resources, transportation planning and/or related field.
• 3 to 5 years progressive transit-related experience; supervisory in a unionized environment.
• Knowledge of workplace safety standards and the Occupational Health & Safety Act.
• Extensive knowledge of complaint investigation and customer service orientation.
• Must be able to work variable hours including overnight shifts.
• Computer proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Supervisors and Service Delivery staff to meet service levels.
• Provide daily direction, coaching and leadership to staff.
• Oversee safety, discipline, training and performance management.
• Coordinate staffing, scheduling and overtime to meet service needs.
• Ensure on-time service delivery and handle operational issues and emergencies.
• Assist with recruitment, orientation, and cross-functional collaboration.
