Job summary

Lineage is seeking a Senior Traffic Clerk to manage outbound shipments, dock operations, and order integrity. You will schedule appointments, oversee picking and packing, and ensure proper paperwork and IDs are collected for truckers.

The role supports cross-docking and coordination with Receiving and Customer Service in a fast-paced warehouse. Responsibilities include coordinating with auditors, maintaining line-line timing, and ensuring all outbound activities align with HACCP and safety

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with internal and external customers.
• Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to perform basic math and data entry accurately.

Responsibilities

• Schedule appointments for trans-continental, containers, truckload, and LTL outbound shipments.
• Ensure product is picked and orders assembled based on appointment times.
• Ensure all receiving paperwork is completed correctly.
• Monitor product at loading dock for HACCP compliance and auditing.
• Delegate customer requests to Order Checker auditors and verify special remarks.
• Monitor when product is tagged, wrapped, and loaded on trucks.
• Collect and copy proper IDs from truckers and CODs.
• Adjust cut orders manually and communicate with management and inventory team.
• Coordinate picking, packing, and shipping with FedEx or dry ice where needed.
• Coordinate cross docks with Receiving and Customer Service.

Senior Traffic Clerk

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Schedule appointments for trans-continental, containers, truckload, and LTL outbound shipments.
• Responsible for ensuring that the product is picked, and orders are assembled based on appointment times
• Ensure all receiving paperwork are completed correctly
• Monitor and inspect product brought to loading dock for Order checker auditor to inspection and count pursuant to HACCP critical control point regulations
• Delegate customer requests to Order Checker auditors, check all orders for special remarks
• Monitor when product is tagged, wrapped, and loaded on truck
• Responsible for collecting and copying proper ID from truckers, as well as C.O.D.'s
• Responsible for manually adjusting all cut orders, and communicating with management & inventory team
• Process cancellations of previously pulled and non-pulled orders by shippers
• Coordinate picking, packing, and shipping of FedEx sample or shipments with or without dry ice.
• Monitor usage of the dock doors to prevent platform confusion
• Provide inventory management
• Verify that weights are taken and attached to outbound shipment
• Coordinate Export Shipments that require customs and border control documentation.
• Coordinates repack work with General/Operations Manager
• Monitor Proprietary Online scheduling system (Lineage Link) for carrier appointments
• Make sure all Outbound cover sheets are properly filled out under BRC standards
• Make sure glad hand lock is placed on every truck's emergency air line prior to loading
• Make sure every Box truck ignition is turned off prior to loading/unloading
• Coordinate cross docks with the Receiving and customer service department
• Responsible for setting up each day's orders for each shift (Counting Number of picks per Zone)

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES)

• Basic math skills may be required at some facilities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with internal and external customers; English may be required
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to work in temperatures as low as -20 Fahrenheit/-25 Celsius in cold storage sites or up to 100 Fahrenheit/37 Celsius in dry storage sites while wearing company provided personal protective equipment and freezer gear, may be required at some facilities
• May be required to lift a minimum of 20 lbs./9 kgs.; weight may be more dependent upon facility
• Ability to work a flexible work schedule and shift, including weekends if needed
• Must be comfortable with various noise levels, at times, can be loud

Pay Range:$21.88 - $34.18
