Job summary

Lineage Logistics in Ontario, Canada is seeking a Senior Traffic Clerk to manage outbound shipments, coordinate loading, and ensure accurate paperwork daily. You’ll support the receiving and inventory team, inspect products, and handle cross-dock coordination with the Receiving and Customer Service departments.

The role requires accuracy, strong communication, and the ability to work a shift that may include weekends.

Qualifications

• Basic math and numerical skills to verify orders.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with internal/external customers.
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work in temperatures as low/high as cold storage or dry storage.
• Physical ability to lift at least 20 lbs as needed.
• Flexible shift availability, including weekends.
• Comfort with varying noise levels in a warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Schedule outbound shipments by appointment across modes and routes.
• Ensure product is picked and orders assembled per appointment times.
• Complete receiving paperwork accurately.
• Monitor and inspect products for HACCP compliance during loading.
• Delegate requests to auditors and verify special remarks on orders.
• Track dock activity and manage inventory alongside the team.
• Collect IDs from truckers and handle CODs as required.
• Coordinate packing, packing, and shipping with or without dry ice.
• Provide inventory management and verify outbound weights.
• Coordinate export shipments and customs documentation.
• Work cross-functionally with Receiving and Customer Service.

Job description

Monday, Wednesday, Friday 6pm - 6am Senior Traffic Clerk

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Schedule appointments for trans-continental, containers, truckload, and LTL outbound shipments.
• Responsible for ensuring that the product is picked, and orders are assembled based on appointment times
• Ensure all receiving paperwork are completed correctly
• Monitor and inspect product brought to loading dock for Order checker auditor to inspection and count pursuant to HACCP critical control point regulations
• Delegate customer requests to Order Checker auditors, check all orders for special remarks
• Monitor when product is tagged, wrapped, and loaded on truck
• Responsible for collecting and copying proper ID from truckers, as well as C.O.D.’s
• Responsible for manually adjusting all cut orders, and communicating with management & inventory team
• Process cancellations of previously pulled and non-pulled orders by shippers
• Coordinate picking, packing, and shipping of FedEx sample or shipments with or without dry ice.
• Monitor usage of the dock doors to prevent platform confusion
• Provide inventory management
• Verify that weights are taken and attached to outbound shipment
• Coordinate Export Shipments that require customs and border control documentation.
• Coordinates repack work with General/Operations Manager
• Monitor Proprietary Online scheduling system (Lineage Link) for carrier appointments
• Make sure all Outbound cover sheets are properly filled out under BRC standards
• Make sure glad hand lock is placed on every truck’s emergency air line prior to loading
• Make sure every Box truck ignition is turned off prior to loading/unloading
• Coordinate cross docks with the Receiving and customer service department
• Responsible for setting up each day’s orders for each shift (Counting Number of picks per Zone)

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES)

• Basic math skills may be required at some facilities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with internal and external customers; English may be required
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to work in temperatures as low as -20 Fahrenheit/-25 Celsius in cold storage sites or up to 100 Fahrenheit/37 Celsius in dry storage sites while wearing company provided personal protective equipment and freezer gear, may be required at some facilities
• May be required to lift a minimum of 20 lbs./9 kgs.; weight may be more dependent upon facility
• Abilityto work a flexible work schedule and shift, including weekends if needed
• Must be comfortable with various noise levels, at times, can be loud

Pay Range: $21.88 - $34.18
